We're looking for an experienced Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent who enjoys leading projects from start to finish and takes pride in delivering exceptional work.
What You'll Do
As the Superintendent, you'll be the leader on the job site, responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, keeping projects on schedule, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day commercial construction operations
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Monitor project schedules and proactively resolve issues before they impact the project
- Ensure quality workmanship and enforce safety standards
- Maintain daily reports, jobsite photos, and project documentation
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate project closeout, final inspections, and punch list completion
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized job site
- Manage, protect, and store all equipment and materials on the job site
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience (more experience welcomed)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications (architectural and civil)
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable using email and basic computer programs
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift experience
Travel
This position requires travel to commercial construction projects within approximately an 8-hour radius of the Pittsburgh area. Overnight travel is common, with projects typically requiring 1-3 weeks’ stays. All company travel expenses are paid, and per diem is provided.
