Duties
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to foster a high-performing sales environment.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with management on sales strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising plans to maximize revenue.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including stock replenishment, pricing adjustments, and shrink reduction efforts.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure smooth team coordination throughout each workday.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting to maintain operational accuracy.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant management roles within the retail industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory control, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and engage customers effectively.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping basics, and administrative responsibilities related to store operations.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Prior experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail management software is highly desirable.
