Lynda's at the Ocean Club, LLC at the South Ponte Vedra Ocean Club, LLC is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Catering & Events Manager to lead the growth of our private events, weddings, corporate functions, member celebrations, and community partnerships.
This is an outstanding opportunity to build a successful catering program at one of Northeast Florida's premier private oceanfront clubs featuring spectacular Atlantic Ocean views, seating for over 250 guests, elegant indoor and outdoor event spaces, and an experienced leadership team committed to hospitality excellence.
Position Summary:
The Catering & Events Manager is responsible for generating new business while creating unforgettable guest experiences from the initial inquiry through the successful execution of each event.
This position requires an organized, highly motivated professional who thrives in sales, event planning, relationship building, and operational execution.
The Catering & Events Manager reports directly to the Food & Beverage Director and will work collaboratively as part of the leadership team to create exceptional and memorable experiences for our members and guests. Success in this role is built on teamwork, communication, creativity, and a shared commitment to hospitality excellence.
Responsibilities
- Generate new catering and private event business.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, wedding planners, hotels, and community organizations.
- Conduct venue tours and client consultations.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and event timelines.
- Partner closely with the Food & Beverage Director, Executive Chef, and leadership team to design and execute extraordinary events that exceed guest expectations.
- Coordinate seamlessly with culinary, service, and management teams to ensure flawless event execution.
- Attend networking events and actively promote the South Ponte Vedra Ocean Club, LLC and Lynda's at the Ocean Club, LLC within the community.
- Achieve monthly and annual catering sales goals.
- Maintain exceptional communication with clients before, during, and after each event.
- Help cultivate a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and genuine hospitality while creating memorable experiences for every member and guest.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of catering, banquet, event sales, or hospitality management experience.
- Strong sales and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience preparing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospitality systems preferred.
