Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Verify insurance benefits
- Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately.
- Collect patient information accurately, review documentation for completeness, and update electronic health records
- Assist with insurance verification, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and medical billing processes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality according to clinical confidentiality policies.
- Support office management tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Facilitate patient intake procedures and coordinate appointment follow-ups to optimize clinic flow.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Front Desk Receptionist in a dental or medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare and health information management systems.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and billing procedures aligned with HIPAA standards.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing).
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings is a plus; fluency in additional languages is desirable.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Office management experience including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient service support.
- Prior clinic or hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with dental office software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly valued.
- Demonstrated professionalism in handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
