We are currently looking for a highly motivated and hands-on 2nd and 3rd Shift Trade Support and Quality Assurance Analyst to join the MIAX Trading Operations Futures Team. This candidate will have the opportunity to be in from the ground-up and have a direct impact on the operations of the new trading platform. They must demonstrate the ability to proactively participate in the end-to-end system testing process within a fast paced trading environment. Candidates are required to develop a deep understanding of Business System Requirement documents and translate these concepts into automated production test scenarios.
This candidate will work 1st shift for training, and then participates in a rotation between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Once that occurs, they will receive a shift differential and migrate to the new shift hours.
The Trading Operations team is responsible for all front line customer support. It is critical that the candidate has a meticulous attention to detail in following operational processes and procedures. Trading Operations is also responsible for all client interface and business functionality testing of the Trading systems.
Main responsibilities include:

Interacting directly with member Firm’s trading desks to provide all operational support.

Coordinate with external technical staff for firm configurations of trading sessions and networking connectivity.

Maintaining and completing all daily Exchange Operations.

Evaluate and monitor order status, net positions, daily settlements and client connectivity.

Analysis and review of client investigations.

Participating in the MIAX Quality Assurance program.

Developing, authoring and troubleshooting comprehensive test scenarios which are validated against the testing system.

Proactively participating in the review of business requirements for the purpose of developing test case scenarios that ensure complete test coverage of application functionality.

Developing, maintaining and executing test plans that validate new features and releases.

Ensuring all software issues are reported and handled efficiently per the MIAX software defect remediation process.

Participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology.

Developing and performing application certification with external clients to ensure smooth transition of new features being enabled in the production environment.

Communicating status efficiently and ensuring the team is on track for all manual testing.

Providing timely resolution of technical and user specific issues and requests.

Engaging in continuous process evaluation and improvement.

Assisting Department Manager with Industry-based calls.

Maintaining knowledge of Industry trends and their impact on trade support.

Troubleshooting technical and functional issues based on exchange Rules and system design.
Organizational Structure
The Trading Operations Support & Quality Assurance Analyst will report directly to the Director of Futures Trading Operations.
Qualifications

Must have the capacity to thoroughly understand the Software Quality Assurance testing process and best practices.

Strong team based and customer facing verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Must possess the aptitude for automated testing of a platform in an integrated testing environment, as well as testing user-interface and transaction-processing systems.

Effective analytical and problem solving skills.

Required to be a self-motivated, patient, dynamic, organized and responsible team player.

Function at a high level and prioritize critical tasks in a dynamically changing environment.

Possess a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or IT/Computer Science.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge/prior use of JIRA tracking software is a plus.

Futures, options and/or equities Industry background is a plus.

Experience testing trade execution systems at an exchange or for an ECN/ATS is a plus.
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Actual initial base salary will be determined based on factors that may include qualifications, experience, and/or geography. This role provides employer-sponsored health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off (including vacation, holidays, personal leave and sick leave) and ability to participate in the company 401(k) plan.
