Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Wedding & Event Planner to orchestrate memorable events from start to finish. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to bring creative visions to life while managing all aspects of event planning, coordination, and execution. Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for weddings and events
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure seamless execution
- Negotiate with vendors, venues, caterers, and other service providers to secure the best terms and services
- Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and maximizing value through upselling opportunities
- Coordinate logistics such as catering, décor, entertainment, guest accommodations, and transportation
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all elements align with client expectations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the planning process
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts and vendor agreements
- Proficiency in marketing strategies to promote events and attract clients
- Experience in upselling additional services or packages to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
- Knowledge of event marketing techniques for promoting events effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Expertise in managing event budgets with attention to detail on expenses and financial planning
- Superior communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members clearly and confidently
- Technical proficiency with event management software, Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
- Exceptional organizational skills for coordinating various aspects of complex events
- Banquet experience or background in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable
- Familiarity with contracts, catering arrangements, guest services, fundraising activities, and hospitality standards

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
