Love Dogs Camp is a cage free camp designed for dogs' optimal health & well-being, where every dog is treated with appreciation, kindness, patience, understanding and respect.
We are seeking a dog socialization teacher who is aligned with our holistic dog training philosophy and available for some part time days and available to handle overflow boarding on some weekends :
1. Understands that dog socialization teacher is not about "obedience" and "submission", but, instead, is aligned with our philosphy of teaching based upon a foundation of patience, mutual trust, respect and understanding.
2. Understands that each dog is different, may have experienced emotional (or physical) trauma, and requires a customized, approach to addressing that dog's issues.
3. Understands the value of taking the time to observe, listen to and respect each dog's cues about what he/she needs before becoming that dog's teacher.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with dogs.
2. Open communication skills with staff, clients and dogs
3. Commitment to honesty and integrity in working with clients and colleagues.
4. 100% commitment to utilizing only psychologically and physically positive interactions with dogs.
5. Flexible schedule - Available some Tuesdays, some Thursdays/Fridays for 1/2 day, available for overflow boarding assignments on some week-ends - which involves staying on site from Saturday morning to Monday morning and available for occasional Housesitting assignments in customers homes
6. Good references, punctual, strong work ethic, reliable transportation.
