Chang Family Dental is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental family! We are seeking either a part-time or full-time hygienist to work Monday–Thursday in our modern, patient-focused practice in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Our wonderful hygienist is still currently enjoying extra time with her new baby and we are looking for someone who would be a great fit for our team. Whether you’re looking for a long-term position or are interested in joining us while she is on leave, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and update/review health history
- Provide hygiene services such as routine prophy, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing
- Be proficient in hand instrumentation, use of Cavitron and use of Airflow polisher
- Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care
- Take X-rays when needed
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitor supplies
- Sterilize dental instruments and perform universal infection control procedures
- Ability to administer local anesthesia
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental hygiene equipment
- Outstanding communication skills and capacity to work well with others
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene
- Valid license to practice
- Valid license to administer local anesthesia
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
