Expected Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay range for local nurses (within 50 miles) :- $46/hour - $49/hour

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized, high-acuity care for patients with life-threatening neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, intracranial hemorrhage, seizures, spinal cord injuries, and post-neurosurgical cases. This role requires excellent critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients in the Neuro ICU.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor neurological status, vital signs, and hemodynamic stability.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and titrate vasoactive and critical care infusions according to physician orders.
- Monitor patients with advanced critical care equipment, including arterial lines, central lines, ICP monitors, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and ventilators.
- Recognize and respond promptly to neurological and medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR.
RN01
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or Critical Care nursing experience.
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required.
- CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN certifications preferred.
- Experience caring for ventilated patients and managing complex neurological conditions.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred.
- Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
