Job Summary:
The Territory Sales Manager in Northern California (Fresno North to Oregon border) for our Asphalt Fiber Division is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Execution & Business Development
- Identify potential accounts by developing leads and analyzing and qualifying project opportunities.
- Initiates call process by building relationships, and scheduling appointments.
- Develop sales by investigating potential accounts and/or projects.
- Conduct product demonstrations, group lunch and learn seminars, and one-on-one sales presentations.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections, requesting new account applications, forwarding orders, and following up on orders placed.
- Consistently enter all account information, project related communication, and activity into Salesforce.
- Maintain an accurate list of open sales opportunities in Salesforce.
- Improves products and services by relaying customer reactions, monitors competitive products, and by recommending new features and/or adjustments to product development and engineering services.
- Attend trade shows to help identify and qualify new leads.
- Service existing accounts and project opportunities by visiting accounts or job sites to offer consultation related to products.
- Follow up on project leads as generated from home office, for example website leads, trade show leads, etc.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings for project opportunities.
- Attends all sample trials for potential new accounts and/or project opportunities.
- Additional sales-related duties as requested by supervisor, management or owners.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Attends periodic training sessions and/or conference calls sponsored by regional sales manager or national sales manager.
- Assists and/or consults with other sales team representatives with unique knowledge of application, account and/or project opportunity.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and shareholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Support, and Leadership teams to align customer expectations with operational capacity.
- Serve as the voice of the customer in your territory during inside strategy discussions, providing insights into barriers, opportunities, and competitive activity.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Identify potential accounts by developing leads and analyzing and qualifying project opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, activities, and forecasts in the company CRM.
- Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline development, and key wins or losses.
Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Up to 70% travel.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
- Effective presentations skills to both individuals, small groups and large audiences.
- Well organized.
- Previous knowledge of construction and/or asphalt industry and material is a plus
Education and Experience:
- 4-year or 2-year college degree recomended
- Sales experience in a related field
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
