The Luxury Wig Care Associate provides professional cleaning, maintenance, styling, and preparation of client wigs and hair units through Zimoras' Wig Drop-Off Service. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, cleansing, conditioning, styling, packaging, and preparing wigs for pickup while maintaining exceptional quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
This role works exclusively with wigs and hair units and does not perform licensed cosmetology services on clients.
Essential ResponsibilitiesWig Care & Maintenance
- Receive, inspect, and document the condition of customer wigs at drop-off.
- Cleanse, condition, detangle, blow-dry, style, steam, and reshape wigs according to company standards and client preferences.
- Perform minor non-structural maintenance (such as adjusting straps, replacing clips, or tightening elastic bands) when trained.
- Identify and report wigs requiring specialized repairs.
- Prepare, package, and label completed wigs for pickup.
Client Service
- Welcome clients during drop-off and pickup.
- Explain service timelines, care recommendations, and completed services.
- Recommend appropriate wig care products and maintenance routines.
- Maintain accurate service records.
Operations
- Ensure every wig meets Zimoras' quality standards before pickup.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace.
- Properly store and safeguard client wigs.
- Follow company procedures for handling customer property.
- Assist with inventory of wig care products and supplies.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures.
- Passion for beauty and luxury client experiences.
Preferred
- Experience handling wigs, toppers, extensions, or hairpieces.
- Salon, beauty, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Experience styling wigs or mannequin hair.
- Knowledge of human and synthetic wig care.
- Retail sales experience.
