Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and other appliances
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in meal preparation for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders with attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow
- Follow food handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering operations enhances your fit for this role
