Hoʻoilina Genomics Institute (HGI) is seeking an organized, compassionate, and mission-driven Genetic Counseling Assistant to support the delivery of genetics and genomics care across Hawaiʻi. This position offers a unique opportunity to help build a growing statewide institute while working closely with patients, genetic counselors, and a board-certified medical geneticist.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient referrals, scheduling, and intake.
- Assist with obtaining medical records, insurance information, and prior genetic testing results.
- Prepare charts and support clinic workflow before and after patient visits.
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare providers, and laboratories.
- Support telehealth and periodic in-person clinics.
- Assist with administrative projects, workflow development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health records
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, genetics, genetic counseling, or medical administration
- Experience with telehealth
- Interest in healthcare operations and program development

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
