Position: Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review general ledger (GL) activities and journal entries
- Lead and support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, receivables, and other key financial data
- Perform account analysis and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and other accounting records
- Assist with payroll accounting and related reconciliations
- Coordinate with external CPAs, tax professionals, auditors, and financial institutions
- Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings, audits, and financial reviews
- Ensure accounting records and processes comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
- Provide accounting guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed
- Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and other accounting projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with senior-level accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Strong experience with GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
- Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or a related industry is a plus
- Bilingual English/Chinese is a plus
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
