Position Summary
The Department of Nursing at Minot State University, Minot, North Dakota, invites applications for an adjunct Nursing Professor position beginning August 2026.
Position Responsibilities
Provide didactic teaching in undergraduate nursing courses in an online environment using Blackboard Learning Management System.
Required qualifications
A terminal degree in nursing is preferred; a master’s degree in nursing is required. Other required qualifications include: current registered nursing licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Dakota, excellent oral and written communication skills; a demonstrated desire to contribute to the nursing education community through service and scholarship; and a desire to join a team of nurse educators who enthusiastically work together to engage students in the study and application of nursing.
Desired Qualifications
Nursing education experience at the undergraduate level; ability to teach nursing theory and clinical in a traditional face to face environment and/or online environment; ability to teach other nursing or related courses in areas of expertise at the undergraduate level; demonstrated success in and enthusiasm for teaching; experience with online course management and simulation; and other experience in integrating technology with education.
The Department
The Department of Nursing currently includes 16 full-time and 5 part-time faculty members. We offer a major in nursing and a minor in Health Management Science. Information on the department and our programs is available at www.minotstateu.edu/nursing.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on the adjunct compensation scale.
