Job Summary
Reporting to the Academic Deans, the Professor and Director of Radiologic Sciences, (Open Rank) will lead all aspects of program development, faculty coordination, accreditation, clinical partnerships, and student success. The Director will champion the program’s mission within the broader college community and serve as the primary liaison with accrediting and licensing bodies.
Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Professor and Director – Radiologic Sciences Program, (Open Rank)
Leadership & Project Management
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Radiologic Sciences Program, including Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, MRI, and CT certification pathways
- Provide leadership and direction by setting program priorities, fostering a collaborative academic culture, supporting faculty development, and delivering performance feedback
- Oversee the full portfolio of Radiologic Sciences course offerings, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality program delivery
Program Development
- Coordinate with the Academic Deans and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation to obtain, maintain, and support accreditation for Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, MRI, and CT programs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in Radiologic Sciences education, instructional design, and assessment, providing guidance to faculty and key stakeholders.
- Lead ongoing program assessment, continuous improvement, and accreditation-related activities.
Teaching & Instruction
- Teach lecture courses each academic year; may also include clinical courses
- Evaluate student performance across all Radiologic Sciences courses
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with the academic deans to appoint credentialed faculty to teach courses in Radiologic Sciences
- Assist the clinical coordinator to organize students into clinical rotations and expand clinical site affiliations
- Engage in college committees, activities, and service and student recruitment opportunities
Evaluation & Quality Assurance
- Evaluate program outcomes, including student performance and clinical competency, and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Support accreditation self-studies and reporting requirements through data analysis and documentation
Research & Innovation
- Identify emerging training needs and develop data-driven strategies to address them
- Participate in research and scholarly activities related to Radiologic Sciences education, program evaluation, and outcomes assessment
Professional Development
- Identify faculty and staff training needs and deliver development programs to enhance Radiologic Sciences education
- Mentor faculty and stakeholders in best practices for clinical education and professional standards
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Academic Deans

Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to move throughout the workspace and between locations to support simulation activities
- Ability to operate, prepare, inspect, and maintain equipment
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds to and from overhead locations
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline
- Current ARRT certification required for Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, MRI, and CT
- Current or eligible for New York State Department of Health – Radiologic Technologist License and Registration
- Clinical experience in a professional discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education administration or program leadership
- Demonstrated record of scholarly activity or research in Radiologic Sciences
- Experience with JRCERT or CAAHEP accreditation processes
- Familiarity with clinical site development and management
