What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle while transporting freight across the United States.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and roadworthy.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and required transportation documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load updates, delays, and delivery status.
- Plan routes efficiently while meeting pickup and delivery schedules.
- Practice defensive driving and maintain a strong commitment to safety at all times.
- Report any maintenance or mechanical concerns promptly.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, shippers, and receivers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screening
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- OTR experience preferred
