Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor for the first shift to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. This leadership role involves supervising assembly line activities, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining production efficiency. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate activities on the assembly line during the first shift to meet production goals.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed by team members and conduct regular safety briefings.
- Monitor manufacturing processes for quality assurance and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment to support assembly and material handling tasks.
- Manage warehouse inventory, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials efficiently.
- Train new employees on manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate production records and report on shift performance metrics.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
- Enforce adherence to company policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages continuous improvement and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory environment, with a focus on assembly line supervision.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Prior experience working with warehouse inventory management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
