Duties
- Supervise students during pick-up, transit, and drop-off to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Enforce school policies and procedures related to transportation safety and student conduct
- Assist students with disabilities or special needs by supporting mobility and behavior management as required
- Maintain a safe environment by following safety regulations, evacuation procedures, and emergency protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student behavior or transportation issues
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive student discipline and conflict resolution
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, proper functioning, and compliance with safety standards
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, handling minor injuries or health concerns promptly and confidently
- Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Collaborate with school staff to support students’ individual needs and ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education needs, behavior management techniques, and working with students with disabilities is preferred
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications related to child safety or transportation are a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and school staff
- Ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally while promoting a positive environment
- Familiarity with school policies, evacuation procedures, and safety regulations related to early childhood education transportation
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility challenges or disabilities as needed
- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and a proactive attitude toward student supervision and safety
