What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant / Clinical Support Specialist, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Record vital signs and medical histories
- Assist physicians with office procedures
- Perform basic diagnostic testing and specimen collection
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms
- Follow infection prevention and OSHA guidelines
- Educate patients on provider instructions and follow-up care
Administrative Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create an exceptional first impression
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
- Verify insurance and patient demographics
- Process referrals and prior authorizations
- Answer incoming phone calls and patient messages
- Collect copays and assist with front office workflow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Inventory & Clinic Support
- Monitor medical supply inventory
- Restock exam rooms and clinical supplies
- Assist with equipment maintenance and organization
- Support quality improvement initiatives throughout the practice
