We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager with experience in Latin food, preferable in Colombian Cuisine, to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and efficient culinary team.
- Supervise food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective inventory management systems.
- Implement and monitor food production processes to meet customer expectations for casual dining, or catering services.
- Lead shift management by coordinating with front-of-house teams to deliver excellent customer service and resolve any operational issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision within the food industry, ideally in full table service and fast pace environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervising teams, and conducting interviews for hiring new team members.
- Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience working in casual dining, fine dining, banquet settings or hotel food service is highly desirable.
