Our hotel is looking for a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our on-site restaurant. This isn't a behind-the-desk management role — you'll be on the floor working the register, making coffee and food alongside the team, while also owning the bigger-picture responsibilities: menu planning, catering, staffing, and scheduling. We need someone who can jump between hands-on service and management duties seamlessly, and who understands the standards that come with a hotel guest experience.
What You'll Do
- Work the register and handle point-of-sale transactions
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and food items during shifts
- Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate service during peak hours
- Step in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly
Menu & Catering
- Coordinate and manage catering orders, including hotel events, meetings, and private functions
- Work with vendors and suppliers to source ingredients and manage food costs
Team Leadership
- Hire, onboard, and train new staff
- Build and manage weekly staff schedules
- Coach and develop team members on service, food prep, and customer experience
- Foster a positive, high-performing team culture
Operations
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste management
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Track sales, labor costs, and other key performance metrics
- Coordinate with other hotel departments (front desk, events, housekeeping) as needed to support guest service
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in food service, café, or restaurant management
- Comfortable working both front-of-house (register, customer service) and back-of-house (food/coffee prep)
- Experience with hiring, training, and scheduling staff
- Strong organizational skills — able to juggle daily service with longer-term planning
- Basic knowledge of food costing, inventory, and catering logistics
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Friendly, calm-under-pressure attitude with strong leadership instincts
Nice to Have
- Barista experience or coffee knowledge
- Experience with POS systems and scheduling software
- Prior catering, events, or hotel food & beverage experience
