Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your craftsmanship and technical skills to enhance building aesthetics and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Measure openings accurately using dimensional measurement tools to ensure proper fit of windows and doors
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes
- Handle glass materials carefully during transportation, cutting, and installation to prevent damage
- Install windows and doors following manufacturer instructions, blueprints, and safety protocols
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks
- Perform caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation to achieve seamless finishes
- Conduct quality control checks on measurements, alignment, and overall fit during each phase of installation
- Assist with remodeling projects by fabricating custom components and handling heavy lifting as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in window installation, glass materials handling, door hanging, and related carpentry tasks
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and experience working on active construction sites
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of measurement techniques for quality control purposes
- Knowledge of schematics, fabrication processes, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and construction painting is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity over extended periods
- Prior handyman experience or experience in remodeling projects is highly desirable
