Are you an early bird with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences? We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Server Lead and Manager on Duty (MOD) to join our team. Our hybrid role is a active server, while also leading and managing the dining room staff on shift. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding service to our valued guests, ensuring they start their day with a smile. As a MOD, you will lead with compassion, attention to detail, organized and efficient processes and a positive demeanor everyday.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly and promptly, offering a friendly and attentive demeanor. Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions to enhance the dining experience. Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs throughout their meal.
- Order Taking and Delivery: Efficiently take food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to special requests or dietary preferences. Serve meals promptly and with care, ensuring the right food reaches the right customer.
- Table Maintenance: Set up tables with required utensils, napkins, and condiments. Maintain clean and tidy dining areas, promptly clearing used dishes and utensils. Prepare tables for new guests efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth operations, communicate guest requirements, and ensure timely food delivery. Be a team player, assisting colleagues when needed.
- Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately, handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide correct change. Maintain the cash register with Spot On and adhering to the restaurant's cash handling policies.
- Menu Knowledge: Be well-versed with the breakfast menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials. Keep updated on any menu changes or modifications.
- Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace. Follow proper food handling and storage guidelines.
- Upselling and Promotions: Familiarize yourself with ongoing promotions and upsell additional menu items to guests when appropriate.
What are we looking for:
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience as a server lead or supervisor; ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Prior experience as a server or in customer service roles is mandatory - 2 years, Breakfast preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact politely and effectively with guests and team members equally.
- Positive attitude, a friendly disposition, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to guests.
- Must be reliable and punctual, respecting the assigned work schedule.
- Knowledge of basic math for order processing and billing.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
