Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Parts & Service Coordinator to join our team! This vital role involves managing parts inventory, coordinating service operations, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, suppliers, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and possess a passion for automotive and equipment service excellence. Responsibilities
- Manage parts inventory levels using ERP systems and order management software to ensure optimal stock availability
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source parts efficiently, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Process purchase orders, track shipments, and oversee shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment
- Assist customers with automotive diagnostics, automotive service inquiries, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts information
- Maintain accurate data entry for inventory control, procurement records, and service documentation using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and AS400 platforms
- Support warehouse management activities including forklift operation, shipping & receiving logistics, and equipment repair scheduling
- Collaborate with the dealership team on demand planning, pricing strategies, and sourcing of automotive repair parts
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles within the automotive or equipment industry
- Experience with supplier management, procurement management, and negotiation techniques
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, and equipment repair
- Familiarity with warehouse management practices including inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse experience
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; certification preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners
- Data entry accuracy combined with attention to detail in inventory control and procurement processes
