Duties
- Perform routine pool and spa maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, and filter cleaning to ensure water clarity and safety.
- Conduct regular pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, brushing surfaces, and vacuuming pools to maintain pristine conditions.
- Diagnose issues with pool and spa equipment, utilizing hand tools and power tools to repair or replace pumps, filters, heaters, valves, and other components.
- Inspect mechanical systems for wear or malfunction, performing preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Document all service activities accurately in logs or reports, noting repairs performed and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role involving pool or spa maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of pool chemistry, water testing procedures, and chemical balancing techniques.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning methods and routine maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in equipment repair or pool service roles, certifications related to pool maintenance or mechanical systems, and familiarity with safety standards relevant to aquatic environment servicing.
