Position Summary:
As a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing sector, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial operations. This position involves managing financial records, analyzing cost data, and supporting the finance team with timely and accurate reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and maintain robust financial controls within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis: Analyze manufacturing costs and variances; identify cost-saving opportunities and support production efficiency and budgeting efforts.
- Fixed Assets Management: Maintain and update fixed assets, construction in progress (CIP), depreciation schedules, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Month-End Close: Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and assist with external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes in collaboration with other departments.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses, including profitability assessments, cost-benefit evaluations, and performance reviews.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable Management: Oversee vendor relationships, manage AP/AR processes, ensure timely payments and collections, and reconcile statements.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support special projects and initiatives by providing financial expertise and analytical support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks); intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
