Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory settings, particularly within assembly lines and manufacturing, and possess mechanical knowledge and people management skills to effectively lead a growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and manage the workflow on the assembly line.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure that all production processes adhere to safety regulations and quality standards and employees adhere to company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules, communicate performance/behavioral/attendance issues that arise, execute disciplinary measures as necessary, and resolve any production flow concerns.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of power tools and hand tools.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency in the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on progress regularly.
- Additional responsibilities as needed in order to support the SDI team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a factory or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and machinery relevant to assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including forklift operation, is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
This is a salary position with an in-person schedule of 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional need to supervise overtime shifts on Saturdays (if/when necessary). We pride ourselves on a work-life balance, but are looking for a Production Supervisor with a strong work ethic who is willing to put in extra time and effort when needed to support our team.
