Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jewelry Polisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fine jewelry and precious metals, with a keen eye for detail and quality. You will be responsible for polishing and finishing jewelry pieces to meet high aesthetic and quality standards before final delivery to clients or retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Polish and finish a variety of jewelry pieces, including rings, bracelets, necklaces, and custom designs.
- Use polishing tools and machinery (buffing wheels, lapping machines, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.) safely and effectively.
- Remove scratches, tarnish, and imperfections from metal surfaces.
- Ensure that each piece meets company quality control standards for appearance and finish.
- Collaborate with jewelers, setters, and other production team members to meet deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the polishing workspace and equipment.
- Inspect pieces for flaws or damages and communicate any issues to the production team.
- Perform minor repairs such as re-polishing worn pieces or restoring vintage items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in jewelry polishing or metal finishing preferred.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work with small, delicate components and tools.
- Knowledge of different metals (gold, silver, platinum) and polishing techniques.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle tools and materials.
- Good vision, including close-up work with small components.
