Elite Martial Arts (Lexington/Central KY region) is expanding and looking for a career minded martial arts instructor age 18 and up. Must have clean background check.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Chief Instructor
Pay range: $40,000-$45,000 base pay plus bonus opportunities to $100,000
Weekly Hours: Full time
TOP 3 RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach great classes that keeps and grows student count and business growth
2. Manage location staff and growth.
3. Help with Afterschool & Summer Camp programs
ATTIRE/ DRESS:
1. Clean Elite Polo (Elite T-shirt as back up)
2. Clean presentable slacks or shorts
3. Be in shape and practice good hygiene. Keep facial hair well-manicured.
4. Formal Elite uniform for teaching classes with patches
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Prior experience teaching kids, families and be outgoing, friendly, and energetic.
2. Must have martial arts rank in a style.
3. Current approved first aid and CPR certification.*
4. High school graduate or equivalent or minimum of 18 yrs. old.
5. Pass background check.
6. Driver’s license & excellent driving record and have personal transportation
7. Possible periodic drug testing
8. Fully trained and comfortable with After School Coordinator/Camp Coordinator,
Front Desk, Program Director responsibilities. To be trained by company.
9. First 60 Days Roughly: is probationary proving period. No benefits or job is
guaranteed.
* At hire or earliest possible training
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Know & achieve financial goals of academy.
2. Establish and maintain martial arts “culture” of academy. Instilling respect,
humbleness; and complete physical and mental aspect of students.
3. Help manager calendar & stats sheets. Report stats sheet to CEO
4. Teach awesome classes & upgrades. Produce great students and Elite staff
members. Help teach introductory lessons, and sign up members.
5. Help teach introductory lessons, and sign up members.
6. Help with school talks, community workshops, etc. and Run Elite birthday parties &
promo booths.
7. Relay any curriculum challenges/suggestions to CEO
8. Safely transport kids for after school & keep up vehicles as described in After School
Coordinator position.
9. To request a day off; you must have a sub and they must complete your
manager/cleaning checklists since its your responsibility. Also no call ins are allowed
unless you have a sub and they are trained on your responsibilities and checklists.
Full time typical schedule:
- Mondays: 10 am to 12 pm, & 1 pm to 8 pm
- Tuesdays-Fridays: 1 pm to 8 pm
- Saturdays as needed
- Above is base schedule plus private lessons, trainings, and special events.
Typical Daily Routine:
- 1 pm Clean & begin director checklist
- 2:15-3:30 PM Afterschool pick up and drop off
- 3:30 pm-8:00 pm Teach awesome classes & membership sign ups
