Bigham Ag manufactures and markets a wide range of agriculture tillage, cultivating and harvest equipment helping the farmer gain maximum crop production while conserving valuable resources. The company markets its products in the U.S. through its dealer network and to other countries in cooperation with partner firms.
We serve producers from two locations: Lubbock, TX and Carlisle, Ar.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with various tools in a factory or warehouse environment. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating components according to blueprints, specifications or instructions ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the assembly process. Gathering parts, positioning components and ensuring proper fit and functionality will be required. Assembler will conduct quality checks, maintain their workspace and may be involved in inventory management or basic equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Positioning and aligning parts and subassemblies to create finished products or components.
- Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to guide the assembly process.
- Checking stock levels, anticipating supply needs, and ensuring sufficient materials are available.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing environment.
- Inspecting assembled components for proper fit, function, and adherence to specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment, and reporting malfunctions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Dexterity and manual skills: Ability to handle tools and work with small parts.
- Basie math skills: Understanding measurements and following instructions.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics: Interpreting technical drawings
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in assembly.
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand tor extended periods and lift or handle materials
- Teamwork and communication skills: Collaborate effectively with others.
- Must be able to work in cold, hot and humid weather
