Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing compressor systems, including troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic components.
- Learn to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and control system diagrams such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Support maintenance activities on HVAC/R equipment, high voltage systems, and low voltage electrical circuits.
- Operate precision measuring instruments like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults.
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting using electrical diagnostics and analysis skills to determine root causes of failures.
- Help perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial machinery including welders (stick welding), scissor lifts, and other mechanical assets.
- Gain experience in field service tasks involving equipment repair, electrical troubleshooting, and customer service interactions.
Experience
- Prior manufacturing facility experience or industrial mechanic background preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with welding (stick welding), electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Exposure to engineering troubleshooting techniques involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical diagnostics, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters effectively.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation; military or technical training backgrounds are advantageous.
