Job Summary
Patrick Dorn Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for residential and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate is organized,communicates effectively, and can manage multiple estimates while working with homeowners,subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Develop competitive project estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and field staff to define project scope.
- Maintain knowledge of construction methods, materials, pricing, and building codes.
- Track estimate revisions and support projects through preconstruction.
- Deliver excellent customer service and meet estimating deadlines.
Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Preferred: Experience with residential remodeling, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and working directly with homeowners and subcontractor
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
