- Call Requirements:
- 7–9 call shifts every 6 weeks
- 30‑minute response time
- Weekend & holiday rotation
- Pay Range:
- Local: $3,300/week
- Travel: $3,500/week
Job Description
The IR Technologist will support physicians during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care. This role requires strong procedural awareness, sterile‑field management, and comfort working with wires, catheters, sheaths, and vascular devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub and assist physicians during IR procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and supplies
- Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with vascular access and interventional devices (wires, catheters, sheaths, stents)
- Monitor patients during procedures and collaborate with the care team
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection‑prevention standards
- Accurately document procedural details and patient data in EPIC
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Demonstrated experience scrubbing IR procedures
- Strong knowledge of guidewires, catheters, sheaths, and interventional equipment
- Experience with GE and/or Siemens fluoroscopy systems
- Experience with Philips monitors
- EPIC charting proficiency
- Ability to work independently in a high‑acuity procedural environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Required Credentials
- ARRT certification
- Current state licensure (as applicable)
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (preferred)
