We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Painter.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Surface preparation: cleaning, sanding, removing old paint from surfaces to
ensure proper paint adhesion
Paint mixing: accurately mixing paints and coatings according to
specifications to achieve desired color and consistency
Application techniques: applying paint using various methods including
brush, roller, spray guns depending on surface and project requirements
Quality control: inspecting painted surfaces for defects and ensuring
compliance with quality standards
Remove, repair and apply caulking in guest rooms, bathrooms and public
areas
Minor tile grout repair
Occasional removal of wallpaper in guest rooms
Furniture and wood molding scratch repairs and stain touch up.
Safety procedures: adhering to safety protocols including wearing
appropriate personal protective equipment and working in well ventilated
areas
Technical knowledge: understanding different painting types, properties
and application methods
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel including but not limited to;
guest rooms, public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas and
other designated locations
Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing garbage, and restocking
supplies
Sign in and out master keys daily
Maintain proper usage of supplies and equipment
Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
Report necessary maintenance items
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Other duties as assigned
Physical Aspects of Position:
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, or more
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs and ramps
Qualifications:
Must have high volume Painting experience
Hospitality/Hotel experience preferred
Attention to detail: ability to achieve a consistent and high quality finish
Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with
minimum supervision
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at
all times
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, however, you must
be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
