The Honu, one of downtown Dunedin’s favorite island‑inspired dining spots, is looking for a part‑time Server to join our friendly, fast‑paced front‑of‑house team. If you love great food, great people, and creating memorable guest experiences, you’ll fit right in.
About the Role
As a Server at The Honu, you’ll deliver warm, attentive service while helping guests enjoy the relaxed, tropical atmosphere we’re known for. You’ll work closely with our FOH and BOH teams to keep service smooth, upbeat, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and timely service
- Take orders accurately and deliver food/drinks with care
- Maintain a clean and organized section
- Assist with side work, opening/closing duties, and team support
- Ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of
- Follow all food safety and alcohol service guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- Prior serving experience preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and team‑focused mindset
- Ability to thrive in a busy, energetic environment
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Part‑time: 20–32 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling with consistent shifts
