The Cove at Cobb Island is expanding our back-of-house culinary team. We are seeking experienced Line Cooks - for weekday lunches and weekend brunches - who are passionate about precision, quality, and exceptional food presentation. In this role, you will be an essential part of an upscale culinary concept, executing high-quality dishes, maintaining impeccable station cleanliness, and contributing to a smooth, fast-paced kitchen operation. Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute menu items to specifications, managing ticket times and ensuring quality presentation.
- Efficiently portion, chop, assemble ingredients, and follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality for service.
- Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your station to uphold high health and safety standards.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, rotation (FIFO), and temperature controls at all times.
- Communicate effectively and work seamlessly with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth, synchronized service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience Required: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line or prep cook, preferably in an upscale, fine dining, or polished casual concept.
- Strong proficiency in advanced food preparation techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for day and/or evening shifts, including weekends.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic with a team-first attitude.
- ServSafe certification is highly preferred.
Hourly pay, depends on experience.
