SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The maintenance personnel will report to the Maintenance Lead / Maintenance Manager. This person will be responsible for doing all work set forth by the maintenance lead. This could include Daily PM’s, working on trouble calls, working on projects laid out by the Maintenance Lead / Maintenance Manager. This person will need to be able to work with minimal supervision.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below:
· Work involves most of the following: examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble; dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools and fitting parts; replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock; reassembling machines; and making all necessary adjustments for operation.
· Perform PM’s without supervision
· Be proficient with all measuring and hand tools.
· Be able to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, hard copy PLC programs, I/O programs.
· Possess some basic skills with welding, milling machine, and lathe
Possess the skills to electrically and mechanically trouble shoot equipment.
· Ability to learn at a fast pace and become self-sufficient in a short amount of time.
· Complete projects/assignments safely and efficiently.
· Repairs machinery or mechanical equipment.
· Assist in maintaining repair parts inventory.
· Possess basic computer skills and assist in maintaining CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records in accordance with QMS (Quality Management system) and ISO or FDA Accreditation systems.
· Trouble shoot and repair problems on molding machines, grinders, augers, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems and support equipment.
· Performing work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards while evaluating and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
· Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
· Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: 2 year degree in related fields
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Preferred: Post-secondary maintenance training certifications and 3 years maintenance experience definitely a plus. Strong knowledge of industrial systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic), knowledge of Robotics including servos & vision system a plus
SKILLS:
Required: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift. Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting. Strong commitment to safety a must, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, self-motived, work with minimal supervision, good written & verbal communication skills, good work ethic, analytical in nature, strong problem solver, and good trouble shooting skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable):
· This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
· While performing the essential functions and duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
· Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
