Piano and Drum Instructors
Lowell School is seeking an engaging and dynamic Piano Instructor and Drum Instructor to teach students in Kindergarten–8th grade, starting in September. The ideal candidates will have a passion for music education and expertise in both drumming and instruction, or piano and instruction. This role includes close collaboration with the Director of After-School Music and is anticipated to start at one day per week.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of music teaching experience
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success.
- Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children
Major Responsibilities:
- Selecting an age-appropriate repertoire
- Preparing students for performances
- Create dynamic lesson experiences that challenge and inspire students
- Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students
- Maintain complete and accurate records for attendance
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.

The expected salary range is $60- $80/hour.
