Estate Planning Attorney – Partnership Opportunity
Stusowski Kraft PC is a well-established Illinois law firm with a thriving estate planning and administration and residential real estate practice. As one of our founding partners prepares to retire at the end of 2027, we are seeking an experienced attorney who is interested not only in joining our firm but also in becoming a long-term equity partner.

Experience and Requirements
Minimum of five years of experience in estate planning and related areas.
Strong knowledge of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, probate, and trust administration. Real estate and taxation experience a plus, but not required.
Excellent communication, drafting, and client counseling skills.
Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with an experienced legal team.
Illinois law license in good standing.
Full-time; some remote practice is available.

We are looking for an attorney who is committed to practicing estate planning for the long term and who is excited about assuming increasing responsibility within the firm. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's partners during a transition period, with the expectation of becoming a partner and helping lead the firm following a planned retirement at the end of 2027.

Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives with precision and clarity.
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their unique financial and family situations.
- Assist clients in understanding complex legal concepts related to probate, asset protection, and tax implications.
- Interact as necessary with beneficiaries, trustees, and tax and financial advisors to facilitate smooth estate planning and administration processes.
- Manage multiple clients efficiently using legal case management system, Clio.
- Communicate effectively with clients of various ages and levels of wealth, and various levels of sophistication, providing clear guidance throughout the estate planning process.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
