Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise in operating excavators and other heavy equipment will be vital in completing projects on time and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Operate excavators, dozers, skid loaders and, dump trucks, precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, material handling, and other construction activities as needed.
- Follow project plans and specifications accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and report any issues or hazards promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators and heavy construction equipment in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including Caterpillar (CAT) equipment and related tools.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of construction processes such as excavating and grading is highly desirable.
- Certifications or training in heavy equipment operation are a plus; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
