Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Generator Installation Electrician/Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining generator systems across various residential and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical systems are safely and efficiently integrated, adhering to all safety standards and electrical codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver reliable power solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and commission generators and transfer switch/service equipment, in accordance with electrical schematics, blueprints, and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot complex electrical systems involving high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on generator systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to complete installations on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a residential or commercial electrician. Experience in generator installation or electrical systems integration Is a bonus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, low-voltage controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics diagrams, and blueprint reading skills.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing repairs on complex industrial equipment.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, testing meters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects or new installations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during installation or maintenance activities.
- Additional handyman skills such as frame carpentry or general construction experience are a plus for versatile project support.
- Be willing to work as part of a team and adhere to company procedures is a must.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
