Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food production, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently to support daily kitchen operations.
- Follow food safety management standards to ensure all products are handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with health regulations.
- Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients, monitoring cooking times, and maintaining quality standards.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, moving supplies, and organizing ingredients to keep the kitchen organized and efficient.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with safety standards in production.
- Provide excellent customer service by serving food promptly and accurately when required, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion control.
- Experience operating food preparation equipment such as slicers, mixers, or ovens is a plus.
- Strong attention to safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service excellence.
- Catering experience or sensory evaluation skills are advantageous for supporting diverse menu offerings.
