About us:
Copper Kitchen is a third-generation family restaurant that was originally opened as a Country Kitchen in 1966. It was later opened in 1984 as the Copper Lantern by the owner’s two sons. In 2022 the restaurant was purchased by the granddaughter of the original owner and renamed the Copper Kitchen as an ode to the buildings long standing history. We take pride in running a small restaurant that keeps itself true to the standards it has had for years. We serve breakfast all day and lunch. We have also expanded to focus on becoming a brunch hotspot by introducing beer and wine to our menu.
We strive to be a small tight nit restaurant that understands the true value of working for a small family-owned company and intends to stay that way. We are devoted to being a place where you can come in and be known by your customers and team that you like working with.
We are looking to fill this management position with someone who is positive and committed to our company. The ideal candidate would take personal responsibility for the restaurant as if it were their own, taking pride in their place of work. This position has promotional potential as the company grows.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing dishes.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
- Works in a high paced working environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
