Duties
- Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments.
- Conduct order picking using barcode scanning technology to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory by organizing stock locations, performing stock counts, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch or storage while adhering to OSHA and safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols including manual handling procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents.
- Support warehouse distribution operations by coordinating with supervisors on order fulfillment priorities and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating various material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and manual handling tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and warehouse distribution processes.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and heavy equipment operation standards.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy.
- Experience with equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus but not required.
- Prior warehouse experience or warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for candidates seeking growth opportunities in warehouse management roles.
