About this Opportunity
Provides technical training, operational guidance, and compliance support to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Cedar Rapids Water Pollution Control facility and its wastewater treatment processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates, delivers, and documents technical, operational, and safety training programs for Water Pollution Control employees, including new employee orientation, process-specific instruction, and required regulatory training.

Collaborates with supervisors, subject matter experts, vendors, and professional partners to identify training needs, schedule training activities, and support employee qualification and requalification programs.

Develops, maintains, and administers training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), One Point Lessons, and training records to ensure consistency, compliance, and workforce development.

Utilizes training management systems to track employee training, certifications, continuing education credits, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives by participating in safety reviews, root cause analyses, operational assessments, and recommending process and training improvements.

Prepares reports, maintains documentation, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and remains current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule-
Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with occasional off shift work for when training is needed for 2nd or 3rd shifts
