Duties
- Greet customers promptly with a friendly, professional attitude and identify their needs through effective communication.
- Assist customers in selecting automotive parts, accessories, and related products by leveraging extensive product knowledge and automotive diagnostics skills.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit, and electronic payments securely.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and maintaining accurate records of automotive parts and accessories using inventory management software.
- Provide technical advice on vehicle maintenance, automotive repair procedures, and vehicle systems to help customers make informed decisions.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, follow-up communication, and personalized assistance to foster loyalty.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment, stock replenishment, and cleanliness of the front counter area.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales within an automotive dealership or parts store environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with automotive parts management systems (CMMS), inventory control tools, and POS software.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly convey technical information and build rapport.
- Organizational skills for managing stock levels, order fulfillment, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Customer service expertise with a focus on client relationship building and retail math proficiency for accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, vehicle systems, auto parts sales strategies, and accessories to support upselling opportunities.
- Ability to handle cashiering duties including cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity.
