Job Functions:
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and service on machines and equipment
- Maintain the “PM Logbook” for each piece of equipment. Make any changes as necessary to keep equipment running smoothly
-Calibrate all scales and weight equipment regularly
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders in order to properly provide scheduled maintenance and service on all machines and equipment
- Diagnose problems; troubleshoot, replace or repair parts
- Detect faulty operations or defective material and report to determine resolution
- Perform unscheduled repairs of machines and equipment during production
- Maintain all lighting by changing light bulbs and fixtures as needed
- Prepare, clear and maintain walkways and loading docks during inclement weather
- Perform a variety of carpentry, plumbing and landscaping functions
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Perform simple production and manufacturing duties and responsibilities as needed
- Use internet resources to look up areas that require more knowledge
- Maintain compliance for external inspections (i.e. Fire Marshall, Insurance Company, ISO Audits, etc.)
- Reports any maintenance concerns or unsafe conditions or repairs
- Comply and enforce all safety rules
Job Requirements:
- Ability to speak and read the English language
- Forklift experience REQUIRED
- Must be neat and organized
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
Competencies and Authorities:
- High School diploma and/or Trade School certificate
- Basic electrical, wiring, carpentry and plumbing
- Use of power tools, use of multi-meter
- Ability to read and follow instruction manuals
Physical Demands:
- This is a very active position where standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and climbing can occur on a daily basis.
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
