Duties
- Design, develop, and optimize robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to facilitate seamless data flow across various platforms and systems.
- Build and maintain scalable data architectures utilizing cloud-based solutions such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, and public cloud environments.
- Develop and implement data models and schemas using dimensional modeling principles for efficient data warehousing and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate linked data sources and ensure consistency across big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and Informatica.
- Manage SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud databases; perform query optimization and database design enhancements.
- Create comprehensive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Looker to support strategic decision-making.
- Write clean, efficient code in Python, Java, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA for automation, analysis, or model training purposes.
- Participate actively in Agile development cycles to deliver high-quality data solutions on time while continuously improving processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are upheld across all platforms.
Skills
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure Data Lake, and other public cloud services for scalable data management solutions.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Bash scripting, and VBA for automation and analysis tasks.
- Deep understanding of big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related technologies for processing large datasets efficiently.
- Proven expertise in designing data models using dimensional modeling techniques for data warehousing environments.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica to develop reliable ETL pipelines.
- Skilled in SQL query management across various databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-based SQL databases.
- Knowledge of linked data concepts and integration techniques to connect disparate datasets effectively.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Looker for creating insightful dashboards and reports.
- Experience with RESTful APIs for integrating external systems or services into data workflows.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and support model training initiatives.
- Ability to design scalable data warehouse architectures aligned with best practices in data warehousing design and analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and translate business needs into technical specifications.
