Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing dedicated Occupational Therapy support within a vibrant educational community. This onsite position offers the chance to work part-time (20-25 hours per week), supporting students’ functional and academic achievement from now until May 21, 2027. Services will be delivered across four diverse school sites, offering variety and the chance to collaborate with multiple educational teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Louisiana Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly desired
- Comfortable and willing to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for a variety of age groups and learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services onsite to students across four designated schools, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes
- Evaluate, plan, and document individualized therapy interventions and progress reports
- Provide supervision and mentorship to COTA as needed
- Manage a part-time caseload efficiently, prioritizing student needs and district goals
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and school staff
